Mission Trip 2016
Rippling Hope in Detroit, MI

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been a member of the White Oak Pond youth group. Being a part of this group has challenged me to think about ways that we can show salvation to the community. And the answer is just to be a part of the community. To go out and do things for the community whenever we can think of an opportunity. We don’t have to advertise ourselves as devoutly penitent Christians, nor do we have to quote the Bible and preach goodwill at every turn. We just need to be there, and be willing to act in accordance with Colossians 3:23: “Work hard and cheerfully at all you do, just as though you were working for the Lord and not merely for your masters.”

Part of the message that was delivered by Cole Milde, High School Student at Pond, during the Youth Sunday, August 25, 2014.
